Carolina Leyva is a founding partner at Marsicano + Leyva PLLC, where she leads the firm's family law practice. She has practiced in Florida family law since 2013, representing clients in dissolution of marriage, paternity, parental responsibility and timesharing, equitable distribution, and prenuptial agreements. She earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and is admitted to practice in Florida.

Her practice emphasizes high-conflict timesharing and relocation disputes, equitable distribution involving closely held businesses and other assets that are difficult to value, family matters carrying immigration consequences, and complex premarital agreements. She also handles post-judgment modification and enforcement — the cases that return years later, when circumstances have changed and an order drafted without foresight begins to fail. Much of her work is resolved in negotiation and mediation, and she drafts parenting plans and marital settlement agreements built to hold up long after the case closes.

A Miami native, Carolina practices in both English and Spanish and appears regularly in the family courts of South Florida, including Miami-Dade County, Broward County, Palm Beach County and Monroe County. She has built her career in the community she grew up in, representing families whose lives — and often whose relatives and assets — reach across more than one country.
